KATY B OUR FIRST AMBASSADOR
We are honoured to have Katy B as the studios’ first ambassador.
Born and bred in Peckham, Katy first discovered the local studios (thanks to a tip from her eagle-eyed mum!) shortly after finishing her music degree at the renowned BRIT School. Still a relative novice as an artist, Katy and her band relished the opportunity to complete her previously unfinished demo tracks; it was these recordings that ultimately caught the ear (and eye) of her first manager, leading to her first foundational footsteps in the professional music industry.
"I'm over the moon the studios are still here..." Katy recently said. "They played such a huge part in my journey, and I've been wanting to give back to this Peckham community for a long time, and being a Peckham Studios Ambassador is to me a perfect way to do that."

Will.I.Am
Back in the summer of 2021 (remember those days?!) Peckham Studios was blessed to receive a visit (socially distanced obvs) from a modern music legend...
None other than Will.i.am (Black Eyed Peas, The Voice) came to South London to visit Peckham Studios to feature in his ITV documentary 'Will.i.am: The Blackprint' - it was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our youth music project and studio facilities and the great work we do with young people there.
Our studio manager discussed with Will what Peckham Studios offers young people who come through its doors, and how it provides a safe and open space to express themselves through their music...
In the words of Will himself... "I love the concept of a place, a getaway, for kids to come and get their ideas out and put them on their path towards their dream. This is awesome."
